Covid Protocols

Sedona is one of the world’s most important places for spiritual inspiration and healing. People come from all over the world to seek transformational experiences, and do the soul-nourishing work to align body, mind and spirit. Sedona is also extremely safety conscious. Alongside Sedona residents and businesses, we are participating in the community campaign SAFE. CLEAN. READY. This means that we are following all CDC and AZ guidelines for public events at our venues. At present, Arizona and the City of Sedona no longer have any COVID restrictions, however, independent businesses may put their own in place.

Traveling to Arizona

There are no current travel restrictions for those visiting Arizona. However additional information on Arizona guidelines and updates can be found here. The US Government recently announced that travel restrictions for vaccinated international travelers will be lifted on November 8th. More information for international travelers can be found here

If you are driving to Arizona or through the state, please be advised that many tribal nations have travel restrictions in place for visitors. Please consult the individual tribal nation’s website for further guidance.

Illuminate Policies

ILLUMINATE pass and ticket holders are not required to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test to enter. Please have care for fellow attendees, and remember, if you’re not feeling well, please stay home. Our virtual film festival is always an option if you are unable to attend the in-person event.

Face coverings are not required but are strongly recommended, regardless of vaccination status, in indoor public spaces by both the state and county public health departments.

Theater seating in Sedona Performing Arts Center (SPAC) and Mary D. Fisher Theatre allows for social distancing. There will be a special seating section available in SPAC for those who prefer to wear masks.

Mary D. Fisher Theatre Policies

The Mary D. Fisher Theatre team is committed to operating the theatre in the safest way possible. They follow CDC-recommended guidelines and have implemented the following policies and practices:

  • Most significantly, the theatre has installed a new UV Air Pure Air Scrubber System to purify the air continuously through the HVAC systems, which substantially reduces odors, visible smoke in the air, and microbial populations on surfaces. The system consists of special UV lights and photocatalyst technology which protects and purifies the air and attacks contaminants on all surfaces.
  • Limited seating capacity for each show to allow for social distancing
Require masks for all volunteers and staff
  • Temperature checks for all shifts for volunteers and staff
  • Sanitizer is available throughout the lobby, venue, and restrooms
  • Sanitation after every show, with a designated cleaning team
  • Disinfecting common areas and high-traffic areas after every show
  • Addition of Plexiglas dividers at the concession stand and ticketing area
  • Requiring masks for all patrons for entrance/exit to the theatre (will provide masks, if needed)
  • UV wand cleaning and sanitizing of seats after every show
