Director’s Choice Award
Whoa. Stop the projector…while our festival director, Danette Wolpert, chooses a feature film that amazes us. She’s looking for work that truly shines and best embodies the heart and soul of conscious filmmaking. It must impact Danette and her team — but it also must tell a story that lasts long after one leaves the theater.
Impact Award
The award recognizes work that makes a significant and measurable personal, social, spiritual or environmental impact on its audience.
ManguTV Award for Conscious Documentary Filmmaking
ManguTV’s $2500 cash prize will be awarded to the nonfiction film that exhibits the strongest story arc, most compelling subjects, and the highest impact potential. ManguTV invests in the distribution and completion of paradigm-challenging and consciousness-expanding visual content.

This honor recognizes members of our Sedona community who embody the spirit of love and service exemplified by the protagonist in our Opening Night Film Amma’s Way. A Journey to Embrace the World Again. Nominated by our volunteer team and selected by ILLUMINATE leadership, the recipients have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to loving service, influenced and addressed a community need, embraced philanthropy as an ongoing commitment, and demonstrated exemplary acts of community engagement, care and kindness.
ILLUMINATED LUMINARIES VIRTUAL TRIBUTE
Join ILLUMINATE Film Festival and the Global Peace Tribe as they recognize the year’s most impactful luminaries for their exceptional foresight, creativity, vision, and leadership as facilitators of human transformation. Each year, ILLUMINATE honors pioneers who have made a significant impact on humanity through their ground-breaking wisdom, books, talks, events, and/or films.
This year’s honorees are Marianne Williamson (A Return to Love), Matt Kahn (Whatever Arises, Love That, Everything is Here to Help You), Gary Zukov (The Seat of the Soul), and the TwinRay. Previous ILLUMINATE award recipients have included Deepak Chopra, Gregg Braden, Dr. Michael Beckwith, Michael Franti, Pete Docter, and Lynne Twist.
In this tribute highlighting many lifetimes of exemplary work, each of our luminaries will share the key insights that have served as the foundation of their world-renowned work and paradigm-shifting impact. We will honor each with an award reflecting the unique ways in which they have guided us toward health, abundance, freedom, love, and elevated consciousness.
